Al-Zaabi revealed that Saudi tourists topped the number of inquiries, with 66% of all inquiries, followed by Indian tourists with 9%.

He stressed that these figures reflect the level of awareness of Saudi and Indian tourists, their desire for a shopping process to ensure that they have full rights, and that they are not exposed to illegal business practices and regulations governing the operation of markets in the Emirate of Dubai.

Al Zaabi pointed out to the diversity of tourists' inquiries, including a query from a Saudi tourist on how to ensure the safety of a vehicle purchased from a car showroom in Dubai, before exporting to his country, and a tourist inquired about the mechanism of calculating VAT on bills, at a time when a tourist inquired How to ensure the validity of the claim of the car rental office to deduct the amount of the guarantee, as the tourist who committed a car rented traffic violation, and another tourist inquired about the possibility of recovering goods purchased from websites, or replaced in the event of a defect.

Al Zaabi stressed that the Consumer Protection Department immediately responds to the inquiries of consumers and residents alike, either by answering their queries, clarifying their rights and duties as consumers, or by directing them to the relevant government departments.
