Analysts have prepared their review based on the dynamics of indicators of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
“Considering the current economic policy (tight tax policy and tight monetary policy) and the weak effect of national projects, a technical recession in the economy can be fixed as early as 2019, and not in 2021, as the Ministry of Economic Development predicts,” the institute said.
It is indicated that the study of the registry of small and medium enterprises indicates a decrease in economic activity in the country. At the same time, growth in the first half of 2019 was recorded in large enterprises and in the public sector.
The survey says that in the first half of 2019, the number of employees of small and medium-sized businesses decreased by 1.6% (minus 257.1 thousand) year-on-year, and the number of SMEs - by 0.9% (minus 57 thousand) . The number of small and medium enterprises decreased by 7-8% (minus 18.3 thousand small enterprises and minus 1.5 thousand - medium).
Earlier, the Minister of Economic Development of Russia, Maxim Oreshkin, said that the problem in the economy due to debt load may have consequences in the coming years.
