The UAE has ranked first in the region as the region's largest air transport market and the eighth in the world in terms of seat capacity available on flights at state airports, according to data from the Asia Pacific Aviation Research Center (KAPA).

According to data obtained by Emirates Today, the UAE market provided about 3.03 million seats on international flights per week at state airports in July 2019. At a rate of about 13 million seats per month, the total seat capacity is estimated at 157.5 million seats scheduled for Trips.

The United States surpassed Japan and South Korea, as well as Russia, Canada and India, with the United Kingdom in first place, the United States in second place, and Germany in third place.

The UAE is home to three of the most important international air transport hubs, including Dubai International Airport, which ranks first in the list of the world's largest airports for the fifth year in a row in the number of international passengers. According to the General Authority of Civil Aviation, national carrier flights now enable passengers to reach anywhere in the world via UAE airports by one or two points at most.
