Representatives of the US Government for Trade arrived this Tuesday, July 30 in Shanghai, to negotiate a commercial cease-fire between the two countries. They were dismounted when Donald Trump published a murderous tweet about China. This is the first time that the two countries have been sitting at the negotiating table since the end of the dialogue last May. The talks in Shanghai are therefore complicated.

" China does not do what it says it will do " and " it always ends up changing the agreement to its advantage ". In a flurry of tweets, Donald Trump set the tone for this new round of negotiations. The US president accuses Beijing of trying to gain time hoping he will lose in the 2020 elections. " But when I win , he writes, the deal will be all the harder ... If there is a okay! ".

China is doing very badly, worst year in the world - no signs that they are doing so. That's the problem with China, they just do not come through. Our Economy has become MUCH larger than the Chinese Economy is last 3 years ....

A few hours later, he praises the economic prowess of his presidency in comparison with the Chinese situation, whose growth is announced at the lowest in 27 years .

On the other side of the Pacific, Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Finance Minister Steven Mnuchin made no comment. This Wednesday, July 31, they will face them the Chinese Deputy Prime Minister and especially the Minister of Commerce, Zhong Shan, deemed fierce negotiator.

The Chinese press is calling on Americans to treat Beijing with respect and abandon the maximum-pressure strategy that would have no effect.
