This is the highest death toll since the beginning of the Syrian army offensive, supported by the Russian Air Force, against northern Hama and the province of Idleb .

Most civilians have fallen into an aerial bombardment at a rush hour at a vegetable market and adjoining residential area in Maarat al-Nohman town, Idleb, according to the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights (OSDH).

The organization, based in Britain, attributed these raids to Russian planes, but the Ministry of Defense in Moscow denied that his aircraft had participated in strikes in this area.

Syrian and Russian aircraft carried out more than 125 raids Monday, July 22 on jihadist and rebel positions, but also against areas far from the front lines. Jihadists shelled government-controlled areas in the provinces of Aleppo and Hama , killing at least 14 civilians.

According to the OSDH, 2,650 people, including at least 760 civilians, have been killed since April 30 in Hama and Idleb, where government troops are trampling after some initial successes.
