Egypt, the world's largest wheat importer, has bought 3.27 million tonnes of domestic wheat in the current harvest season, a spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Supply said on Monday.
The Supply Minister said last week that the local wheat supply season would end on Monday, July 15.
The minister added that 400 thousand tons of local wheat were purchased for the manufacture of pasta and desserts.
