According to Melano, the last eight years in Russia have not controlled the production, storage, sale and use of pesticides and agrochemicals.
“Today, the control of pesticides and agrochemicals in fruits and vegetables is carried out only by the CPS when the products are actually sold on the shelves,” RIA Novosti quotes.
The representative of the Rosselkhoznadzor stressed that in 2011, the authority was almost completely removed from the department in terms of supervision in this area, and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade initiated it.
Earlier, the media reported that the Rosselkhoznadzor may receive authority on veterinary control in the regions.
