Cars made by Volvo, a Swedish car company. It has been selling well in Korea nowadays with the image that it is safe. There are some cars close to 100 million won, but we have heard that there has been a recent Volvo car problem. The sound of "popping" means that the hose connected to the engine is lost or damaged.

However, Volvo does not notify consumers of this fact, but Park Chan Keun reporter covered the report.

Something suddenly pops in the car that ran the highway.

The air hose connected to the engine has failed to withstand the pressure.

It happened a month after I bought the car, but it was repaired after it was repaired, and the car owner eventually had the same thing four times in two months.

[Mr. A / XC60: I am sorry. I bought a used car. I do not do a lot of repairs. I get angry.]

It is the owners' explanation that the output of the vehicle suddenly drops and the fuel consumption becomes worse immediately after this phenomenon.

[Mr. B / XC90: If you put a lot of oil in it, if you take a little more than 10 days, it will be almost a week away.

This breakdown occurs in the so-called "PowerPulse" parts, which three years ago promoted Volvo as the world's first.

Compressed air is injected into the engine instantaneously to help accelerate immediately after start-up. When compressed air enters, the hose that does not withstand the pressure is often blown or released.

The V90, XC60, and XC90, which use Volvo's D5 engine, are mainly installed in three models, with more than 7,300 domestic sales.

Consumers are getting into a lot of trouble.

[Mr. C / XC90]: (Hose) If you go out like that, you have to be notified if the measures are not done. (For manufacturer) is too passive. No measures ... .]

The breakdown is also seen in the same car in other countries, but Volvo Korea explained, "We recognized this fact last year, but we did not announce it because it could confuse customers."

Domestic laws that do not have recall obligations are also pointed out as problems unless they are directly related to safety.

[Prof. Lee Ho-keun / Professor, Dept. of Automotive Engineering, Daeduk Univ.] Even if the recall is not taken or the recall rate is low after the recall, there is no special penalty. (From the manufacturer's point of view) ... .]

Volvo said it has completed the development of improved parts at its headquarters in Sweden and plans to replace it immediately.
