The Hamburg wind turbine manufacturer Senvion has filed for insolvency in self-administration. Discussions with the lenders of the company have so far been unsuccessful, said Senvion. The aim of the procedure is to continue the conversion program initiated at the beginning of the year.

In parallel, discussions with bondholders and lenders continued to ensure support for ongoing business. The company was called Repower Systems until 2014.

So far, the application relates to the Senvion GmbH and the subsidiary Senvion Germany; more group companies are to be added later in the week. The Annual General Meeting and the publication of the quarterly results would be postponed to a later date.
