Reacting for the first time to the US decision , President Rohani said the United States will not achieve its goals. But he acknowledged that American pressure would create hardships in Iranians' everyday lives . " But we have no choice but to resist, " said Hassan Rohani.

For Hossein Ebadi, a taxi driver in his fifties, the new US decision will be hard felt: " The effect is very negative, it is very clear. The value of the dollar is increasing every day, the purchasing power of people is falling every day. We are getting poorer. We repay our loans and our rent late, it starts to get very hard .

A view shared by Mohammad Ali, a fifty-year-old pensioner, who has more and more trouble making ends meet: " We have no economy today. Our economy is already paralyzed, it will be even more so. They must negotiate and get along, otherwise the situation will get worse day by day. During the day, prices increase several times. Yesterday, I paid a box of dates 48,000 tomans, against only 15,000 tomans a few months ago. It affects everything. "

While calling on the population to resist, the authorities recognize that Washington's decision will affect the country's oil exports and worsen the situation.
