The information spread on the network about the appointment of a local resident who fought on the side of Kiev as an assistant to the acting governor of the Zaporozhye region, Yevgeny Balitsky, in the field of military-patriotic education and development is not true. This was reported to RT by a source close to the regional administration.


The interlocutor of RT commented on the reports of a number of Telegram channels claiming that a certain Igor Lysenko, who allegedly was a participant in the "anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in the Donbass and fought on the side of Kiev, will be appointed to the post of assistant to the governor.

There was also a video on the Internet with the alleged candidate in a Cossack uniform against the background of the Ukrainian flag, where he talks about his service.

According to the source, citizen Igor Lysenko really lives in the liberated territory of the Zaporozhye region, he is an "activist" and "participates in the life of the local Cossacks", but the regional administration does not plan to appoint him to any administrative position.

His candidacy was not nominated or considered, the interlocutor of RT said.
