The Constitutional Council has just validated the majority of the pension reform, including the postponement of the legal retirement age to 64 years. Other measures, however, were rejected, such as the creation of a "senior index".

The Constitutional Council on Friday validated the essence of the pension reform, including its flagship measure of raising the legal retirement age to 64 years, while rejecting some measures of the government project such as the creation of a "senior index". At the same time, the Wise Men rejected a request for a referendum of shared initiative (RIP) tabled by the left. However, a second application, filed later, is due to be decided again on 3 May.
