On Tuesday, the investigation into the old nursing home Ängsbacken in Misterhult, which is still empty, was on the politicians' table in the municipal executive board's committee for business, labor and technical activities (KSNAT).
According to the report, a new opening would cost around SEK 9 million, and the cost per resident would be significantly higher than at other nursing homes in the municipality. But how the administration calculated and sketched out how the accommodation would be designed at a new opening has already met with criticism from residents in Misterhult.
Decision postponed
The politicians decided on Tuesday to postpone a decision on the issue until the next municipal board meeting, and then they also want to see a clearer basis for how the administration calculated cost per user.
But municipal commissioner Lucas Lodge (M), nevertheless lands in the same stance as the administration itself.
"It would be wrong to reopen," he says.

The issue will now be taken to the Moderates' party group for discussion and a dialogue will also be conducted with the partner party Social Democrats about what stance to take going forward.
