The draft US budget for fiscal year 2024 suggests that US spending will be more than $6.8 trillion and revenues will be about $5 trillion. This is stated in a document published on the White House website.

The budget deficit in fiscal year 2024 will amount to $1.846 trillion.

On March 9, the administration of US President Joe Biden requested $842 billion in military spending for fiscal year 2024, up 3.2% from 2023.

US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy dismissed Biden's budget proposals as frivolous.

The congressman noted the difference in the expenditure and revenue parts.
