After 49 years of research, Marie Vincent, 94, was able to reconnect with her origins by finding David Garrett, her 93-year-old English half-brother.

Today reunited, the two families have a total of about sixty members.

This story began at the birth of Marie Vincent, born Marie Morris.

On February 28, 1928, then 11 days old, she had been abandoned at the Rothschild hospital, then entrusted to a foster family in Chevagnes.

Since 1973, she has been trying to trace her origins.

Thanks to the report of the abandonment, she had been able to discover that her mother, Bessie, was English.

She finds a niece thanks to an association

A few months ago, Marie Vincent was finally able to contact Debbie, one of David's daughters, with the help of the association "Right to their origin - the Pupilles of the State".

Skeptical at first, Debbie was convinced of this connection and quickly arranged a trip to France so that a meeting could take place before their deaths.

The identity of Marie's father will forever remain a mystery.
