A group of IAEA experts spoke about the state of six units of the Zaporizhzhya NPP after shelling by militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The group reported that the condition of six reactor units is stable, and the integrity of spent fuel, fresh fuel and low-, medium- and high-level waste in their respective storage facilities has been confirmed," RIA Novosti quoted the statement as saying.

On November 20, Advisor to the General Director of Rosenergoatom, Renat Karchaa, announced that the Ukrainian military had subjected the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant to massive artillery fire.

Strategic facilities were damaged.

After that, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi demanded an immediate halt to the shelling of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, "no matter who is behind it."

Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the IAEA leadership is under pressure from the United States and European countries, so he cannot directly say that the shelling of the station area comes from the Ukrainian side.
