On the day of the 'Itaewon disaster', it was confirmed as a result of SBS coverage that Ryu Mi-jin, the head of personnel education department of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, who worked as a situation manager at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, was not in the 112 situation room where he should have been at the time of the disaster.
Based on this, the National Police Agency ordered Liu on standby and requested an investigation.
The Special Inspection Team of the National Police Agency said, "It has been confirmed that Manager Ryu should be in charge of managing the situation, but he neglected to do so, and the situation awareness and report were delayed."
It is known that Manager Ryu was placed in the 112 Situation Room after the disaster.
