Chinese Deputy Representative to the UN Geng Shuang expressed confidence that the draft resolution developed by Russia on the establishment of a commission to investigate the activities of American military biological laboratories in Ukraine should not have been blocked.

“Unfortunately, a number of questions posed by Russia remained without comprehensive answers,” RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.

Geng Shuang stressed that this Russian initiative was justified and legitimate, so it should not have been blocked.

Earlier, the UN Security Council did not adopt a Russian resolution on the activities of biological laboratories in Ukraine.

It is specified that Russia and China voted for the resolution.

The United States, Great Britain and France opposed.

The remaining members of the UN Security Council abstained from voting.
