Söderberg takes over the first spade - "Must like the press that comes"

After the Olympics and the start of the WC, Emma Söderström appears more and more as the Women's Crowns' first choice at the box office. SVT Sport met the 24-year-old goalkeeper to get to know the national team's new wall. - It is a very big challenge, she tells SVT Sport.


Emma Söderberg plays everyday in North America where she plays for the university team Minnesota-Duluth.

Before she moved from Sweden in 2018, she played for Modo in the SDHL.

For SVT, she tells why she chose the goalkeeper position when she started playing hockey.

- I think you get a very wonderful feeling when you are at the finish line.

It's a very big challenge, and I get to push myself and my body to do things.

There is a wonderful adrenaline and feeling in the goalkeeping game itself.

You have to like the press that comes, says Emma Söderberg to SVT Sport.
