On August 26, China conducted the first test of a returnable suborbital carrier, according to the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

“This successful test flight will allow the aerospace industry of our country to make a powerful breakthrough in development and move from disposable to returnable carriers,” TASS reports the corporation.

It is noted that the carrier took off from the Jiuquan cosmodrome and successfully landed in the Alashan-Yuqi hoshun.

On July 31, NASA chief Bill Nelson criticized China for failing to provide data on launch vehicle flight trajectories.
