“Russian vessels have not started fishing for saury and, as noted at the meeting, this year we can hardly expect saury to enter the Russian economic zone,” the statement says.
The agency noted that the fleets of China, South Korea and Japan are fishing for saury in open waters.
The growing catch in mid-August was 13,661 tons.
