JOC = Japanese Olympic Committee announced that Chairman Yasuhiro Yamashita has been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
According to the JOC, Chairman Yamashita was suspected of having close contact on the 22nd, so a PCR test was conducted on the 23rd, and the result was positive.
He has no symptoms such as fever.
Chairman Yamashita was scheduled to attend the one-year ceremony from the Tokyo Olympics to be held in Tokyo on the 23rd.
