Almost a week after the incidents that occurred during the Champions League final at the Stade de France, UEFA has just "presented its sincere apologies to the supporters" in a press release

Better late than never … UEFA presented this Friday, almost a week after the incidents, its apologies to the supporters who suffered “the painful events” surrounding the Champions League final on Saturday at the Stade de France.

"No football fan should be put in this situation, and it must not happen again," insists the European body, which on Monday ordered an investigation into the numerous incidents that occurred on the sidelines of the match won by Real Madrid ( 1-0) against Liverpool.
