The summit of US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a positive signal for the global economic recovery. This was stated by the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva.

“Of course, this is a very positive signal,” TASS quoted her as saying at the Reuters NEXT conference.

Georgieva called on all states to focus on taking measures to overcome the economic crisis.

On November 16, Chinese President Xi Jinping and American leader Joe Biden held an online summit.

During the meeting, Xi Jinping spoke of the need to strengthen cooperation between China and the United States.

Biden, in turn, noted that the authorities of the United States and China must do everything possible so that rivalry between states does not lead to conflict.
