The Russian national team took fifth place in the team event at the World Boxing Championship among men held in Belgrade.


At the competition, the Russians managed to win five medals.

Gold was won by Mark Petrovsky (over 92 kg), silver medalists were Vadim Musaev (up to 71 kg) and Dzhambulat Bijamov (up to 75 kg), and bronze - Akhtem Zakirov (up to 51 kg) and Savely Sadoma (up to 80 kg).

The Cubans became the winners of the team competition (3-0-2), the second place was taken by the boxers of Kazakhstan (2-2-1), and the third - the Americans (2-2-0).

Earlier it was reported that Musaev lost to a Ukrainian in the final of the World Championship in boxing.
