Thomas Larkin is acquitted of assault by Daniel Paille during a hockey match

Hockey player Thomas Larkin, who has been charged on suspicion of having beaten the former Brynäs player Daniel Paille during a match in 2017, is now acquitted by Gävle District Court.


In November 2017, the hockey match in the Champions Hockey League (CHL) was played between Brynäs and Adler Mannheim in Gavlerinken where Thomas Larkin tackled Daniel Paille.

According to the prosecutor, he allegedly abused Daniel Paille by handing out a hard tackle with his body and club against Paille's head and body at high speed, even though Paille did not have the puck.

Two weeks ago, the trial against Thomas Larkin ended and today, Friday, the verdict came where Thomas Larkin is thus acquitted of assault.

Daniel Paille ended his hockey career after what happened.
