According to Nagano Prefecture, the "Dangerous Flooding Water Level" was exceeded at around 1 pm at the Nagiso Observatory on the Kiso River, which flows through Minami Kiso Town due to heavy rain.
The prefecture is calling for strict caution, saying that the water level is expected to rise further and the risk of flooding is extremely high.
