On April 26, 1986, an accident occurred at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Experts call it one of the largest man-made disasters in the history of mankind. The true causes of the tragic events at the Chernobyl NPP have not yet been finally determined. To this day, the scale of the consequences of this incident, which to one degree or another affected the lives of millions of people, has not been fully appreciated.
