Cas halves Russia's suspension

The sports arbitration court Cas has decided to halve Russia's suspension from the Olympics and the World Cup from four to two years. This means that Russian athletes will not be allowed to participate in the Olympics in Tokyo next summer and the Winter Olympics in Beijing 2022 unless they can guarantee that they are clean from doping. In that case, they may compete under a neutral flag. The suspension is valid until December 16, 2022, Cas states in a press release.
