The stage of the Grand Prix figure skating season 2020/21 in France has been canceled due to the spread of the coronavirus.

This was reported on the website of the International Skating Union.

“Following the announcement of French President Emmanuel Macron on October 14, 2020, to impose a curfew in the Grenoble area and in consultation with the city of Grenoble, the French Ice Sports Federation made the difficult decision to cancel the event,” the statement said.

The competition was to be held from 13 to 15 November in Grenoble.

Prior to this, the Canadian Grand Prix, scheduled for late October in Ottawa, was canceled for the same reason.

Earlier it was reported that the SAMBO Championship in Yekaterinburg was canceled due to the coronavirus.
