The Strasbourg organizers announced on Monday that the 5 km race was canceled.
A decision taken "following a meeting" with in particular the Prefecture and the Regional Health Agency (ARS) which certainly reminded them of the health situation in Bas-Rhin.
The department has been classified as an “active circulation zone” for covid-19 since early September.
As a result, "the event will be transformed into a walk and all the participating runners will automatically be switched to it," the organizers wrote in a statement.
The number of places remains limited to 5,000 and the registration conditions do not change: 12 euros including 5 donated to the fight against breast cancer.
