Robert Wells applied for and received part of the government's crisis support for the culture and entertainment industry. The event company that handles stage and sound equipment for Wells' canceled concerts, however, did not receive any money.
- Many producers have received support, but I can not for the life of me understand why the technicians do not get it. They are just as important, without sound and light there will be nothing. During the spring, many in the entertainment industry criticized that a large part of the invisible workforce behind concerts and events has ended up outside when the crisis contributions to cultural workers have been distributed. Sound engineers, advertisers, bookers and carriers, to name a few.
On Tuesday, about 30 stage workers demonstrated outside the Riksdag, to draw politicians' attention to the situation. Robert Wells hopes that politicians will soon have new messages to bring to the event industry.
