On August 15, 1945, People's Artist of the RSFSR Ekaterina Vasilyeva was born in Moscow. After graduating from VGIK, she devoted about 20 years to the stage and performed many bright roles in Sovremennik, the Moscow Art Theater and the Ermolova Moscow Drama Theater. At the same time, Vasilyeva's career developed on the big screen: the actress starred in more than 140 films, including "Sorcerers", "An Ordinary Miracle", "Bumbarash", "Straw Hat" and others.
