US GDP in the II quarter decreased by 32.9%

The gross domestic product (GDP) of the United States in the second quarter of 2020 decreased by 32.9% year on year. This follows from data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis at the United States Department of Commerce.


It is noted that the decline in American GDP in the first quarter of 2020 was 5%.

Earlier, the dollar rate in international trading fell to a minimum over the past two years.

Investors are negative about the prospects for the United States economy amid the coronavirus pandemic.

On July 28, American leader Donald Trump said that the United States, after defeating COVID-19, expects a "golden age".
