An article by Russian President Vladimir Putin about World War II was published in the American magazine The National Interest, as the Kremlin focused on a solid publication that is read by smart people. This was told by the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.

“The article is voluminous. We focused on a solid publication that is read by respectable and smart people, ”he told RIA Novosti.

As the agency emphasizes, the magazine is published by the expert center for national interests in Washington, and specializes in foreign policy and national defense of the United States.

An article by the Russian president was published on June 18.

In it, Putin, in particular, notes that the USSR and the Red Army made a decisive contribution to the defeat of Nazi Germany during the Second World War, no matter who tried to prove the opposite.

Also, the Russian leader writes about the absence of archival documents confirming the assumption that the USSR allegedly intended to start a preventive war against Germany.
