Italy has adopted a new package of measures to support the economy

Italy will spend € 55 billion on economic recovery and support for citizens affected by the situation with coronavirus infection. This was announced by Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte.


“Support measures for companies amount to about € 15-16 billion, which will be provided in various forms: for smaller we will make non-refundable compensation,” ANSA quoted him as saying.

Conte announced that more than € 25 billion will be allocated to support workers and finance benefits for forced downtime and bonuses for the self-employed.

Earlier it became known that in Italy more than half of the infected were cured of the coronavirus.
