In an economic watcher survey of the Cabinet Office, which asks workers about the economic situation, the index showing the current economic situation of last month fell to 7.9, the worst ever, due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.
It was the lowest level since January 2002, when the statistics were comparable, and fell by 6.3 points from the March index, renewing the worst ever for the second consecutive month.
