More than 200 football supporters to the Greek top team Paok from Thessaloniki broke the country's corona quarantine to celebrate the club's 94th birthday.

On Monday night, the hundreds of people were met by police outside the Toumbastadion home arena. At least one person was arrested and several fined, according to local media.

Greek authorities imposed severe restrictions a month ago when the new corona virus was widely spread across Europe. So far, more than 2,200 cases have been confirmed and 116 people have died. All sports activities are stopped in the country until at least Monday next week, April 27.
