The head of the IOC agreed to postpone the 2020 Games for one year

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said that the president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, agreed to postpone the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo next year due to coronavirus.


“Given the current situation, we proposed to consider the possibility of postponing the Games for a year. President Bach supported the idea 100%. We agreed that the Olympics should be held no later than the summer of 2021, ”Abe TASS quotes.
