3/24/2020, 11:33:27 AM

English backing star Lucy Bronze is awarded the BBC's award for the world's best female soccer player in 2020. Bronze, who also received the award in 2018, won the Champions League with his Lyon in May and took England to the World Cup semi-finals in France that summer. - Winning a trophy twice is special because it is so much more difficult, she tells the BBC.

Dutch Arsenal striker Vivianne Miedema finished second in the poll and American Megan Rapinoe third.

The award, which is awarded after football supporters around the world got to vote for five nominated players, has been awarded for six years and this year attracted more votes than ever. Sam Kerr, Australia, and Julie Ertz, USA, were also nominated.
