The Italian government on Tuesday announced that the number of people who died from the new coronavirus increased by more than 600, the largest number ever, to 4032.
Italy has the highest number of deaths in the world, beyond China, and has strengthened its healthcare posture, but deaths continue to rise in the northern region, where infections are concentrated.
