Coronavirus epidemic declared in Poland

The head of the Polish government Mateusz Moravecki announced that an epidemic regime is being introduced in the republic in connection with the spread of the coronavirus infection COVID-19.


He stated this during a briefing.

“To prevent the further spread of coronavirus, to establish rules, including regarding quarantine, we are introducing an epidemic regime,” the PAP quoted him as saying.

In total, 411 cases of coronavirus were recorded in the country, six patients died, RIA Novosti reports.

Earlier, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that since March 21 all catering establishments, as well as nightclubs, theaters, cinemas and gyms, will be closed in the country.
