The Cosmonaut Training Center near Moscow is developing a simulator that simulates the work of astronauts on the surface of the Moon and Mars. This was in an interview with RIA Novosti the head of the Center, Hero of Russia Pavel Vlasov.

“We have a Vykhod-2 simulator, where operations to go into outer space are being worked out. By analogy with it, it is planned to create a new simulator that will simulate the work of astronauts on the surface of the moon and Mars and gravity on them, ”he said.

According to him, the simulator is also being developed at the CPC for the new manned spacecraft Eagle with advanced functionality.

Earlier, the general designer of manned systems in Russia, Evgeni Mikrin, during the Korolev Readings scientific conference on cosmonautics, said that the Russian space program does not provide for manned flights to Mars.

He specified that before such flights, flights to the Moon, which are indicated in the program documents, should take place.
