He pointed out that the reception hall has an international phone and a gilded salon dating back to the era of Muhammad Ali Pasha, at a total cost of 15 million pounds.

Former President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak passed away this afternoon, after a struggle with illness, deteriorating health and entering intensive care at the end of last week.

A military funeral is scheduled to take place from the Mosque of the Field Marshal Tantawi in the Fifth District, in the presence of a number of state leaders, and fans of the former President.
