Fatkulin speed skater won the 1000m World Cup silver and set a Russian record

Russian speed skater Olga Fatkulina took second place in the 1000-meter race at the individual distances world championships in Salt Lake City.


Her result was 1 minute and 12.331 seconds. This is a new record of Russia.

The victory was won by the representative of the Netherlands, Jutta Lerdam (1.11.847). Bronze in the Japanese Miho Takagi (1.12.344). Russians Ekaterina Shakhova (1.12,886) and Daria Kachanova (1.13,101) were classified, respectively, in seventh and tenth positions.

Earlier it was reported that Voronin skater with a world record won the World Cup at a distance of 5000 m.
