New US Ambassador to Russia John Sullivan told RT and RIA Novosti that hockey helps break the ice in conversations between Americans and Russians. He first spoke with Russian journalists during a regular KHL match between Dynamo and Spartak in Moscow. Sullivan noted that hockey is a useful way to start a conversation about common interests and values.
