Japanese scientist predicted Russia new snowless winters

Associate Professor of Tohoku University Sasai Takahiro said that in Russia there is a high probability of reducing the amount of snowfall.


"For areas at high latitudes, such as Russia, the tendency to increase temperature is particularly pronounced," RIA Novosti quotes Takahiro.

He specified that in this way, it is in Russia that the probability of a reduction in the amount of snow is extremely high.

“There will be little snow not only this year, but also in the future,” added the assistant professor.

Earlier, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, Roman Vilfand, said that February in the European part of Russia will be colder than January.
