“Fulfill Zita’s dream”: how the second Siamese twin Gita lives

Zita and Gita Rezakhanov are one of the most famous Siamese twins in Russia. The whole world recognized their history in 2003, when Russian doctors at the N.F. Filatov in Moscow conducted a successful operation to separate the sisters. In 2015, after a long illness, Zita died. In memory of her, her mother opened a center for children with disabilities, where they are taught to read, write and live in society. In an interview with RT, Gita spoke about how their life goes without Zita.
