Putin will discuss the situation in the Middle East with Erdogan

Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday to discuss the situation in the Middle East after the assassination of Iranian General Kassem Suleimani.


It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press secretary of Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.

Earlier in a meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus, Putin said that the situation in the Middle East, unfortunately, is exacerbating.

Earlier it was reported that Putin arrived in Turkey, where on Wednesday, January 8, he will take part in the commissioning of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline.
