Iraq: "The resignation of Adel Abdel Mahdi's government opens a period of instability"

Adel Abdel Mahdi is no longer the Iraqi Prime Minister. The Iraqi deputies accepted Sunday the resignation of his government. Now opens a period of uncertainty, even instability as parliamentarians must agree to appoint a new Prime Minister. We know how painstaking it was in 2018, during the legislative elections in May. The prime minister had only been appointed in October. So we enter this tedious period of political negotiations.
